I was really testing my camera on this shot (or maybe testing my knowledge of my camera). This seagull was pretty far away and moving fast, but I think it turned out ok. :)

Oh, I love this! I think it came out perfect. Especially considering that it was moving and far away, as you say. I can clearly see everything and the colors stand out beautifully.

You know, its funny I was trying to capture something like this when I was at the swamp with a birdy bird. He wouldn't take off though, so all I got were pictures of him sitting there. Plus I wasn't close enough to really get a good shot. Really good job here baby, the ocean waters look so nice. I am sure you are tired of them by now though. :kiss:

He he, thanks sweetheart. We'll have plenty of chances for you to capture a similar image (if not a better one!) after I get back. I'm sure there will be tons of awesome birds in Hawaii to photograph.

Ive tested my cam doing this too, and I tend to see only a torso and a small ammount of white blurr on either side of the bird xD

you should try some panning next time when you do stuff like this...

and when you pan, remember to turn the SSS off...
